We were honored to welcome Amy K. Nelson for our November 2024 Tuesday Night Speaker Series.

Amy K. Nelson is a founder, lawyer, mother, and criminal justice reform advocate. She has written extensively about the intersection of the legal system and everyday life, and brings a sharp, compassionate perspective to the question of how the justice system shapes the lives of those caught in it — and their families.

Amy spoke about her advocacy work, the particular experience of families navigating white collar prosecution and incarceration, and what systemic reform might look like if we centered the humanity of those involved rather than the mechanics of punishment.
